The Nigeria Model United Nations Society, a registered not-for-profit and non-governmental organization under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is committed to educating and guiding young people. NigMUNS aims to extend cultural empathy, understanding of international affairs and knowledge of the United Nations among students through the hosting of the annual NISSMUN and NIGIMUN conferences for secondary and tertiary institutions respectively.

The NigMUNS is recognized and accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, United Nations and her Agencies. Our Board of Trustees is made up of men and women of proven integrity and success in their chosen areas of human endeavour.

NigMUNS believes that by working with students, we are empowering the next generation to act as catalysts for change in their own particular communities and consequently, the world in general. Our programmes have continued to receive commendations from individuals and organizations within and outside the country.
