LETTER OF CONDOLENCES
On behalf of the Nigeria Model United Nations Society, I would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere condolences to the Ambassador, Mr. Haken Cakil and to the Turkish people on the shocking loss of lives at the Ataturk International Airport, Istanbul on 28 June, 2016.
We feel deeply saddened by the tragic loss of over 40 innocent lives and more than 140 injured in multiple explosions at the Ataturk International Airport, Istanbul. The loss of these innocent lives is truly dreadful and senseless act of terror and hate.
As an organization, we share the sense of shock and horror that so many people around the world are feeling as a result of this heinous crime against humanity. We condemn the Istanbul attack in the strongest possible terms, and offer our deepest sympathy and support to the victims, the wounded, their families, and wishing the injured speedy recovery.
Our prayers and thoughts are with the entire Turkish people at this difficult time and we sincerely hope the whole world will come together to defeat violent extremism.
