With great excitement and pride, I welcome you to the 2025 edition of the Nigerian International Secondary Schools Model United Nations (NISSMUN)! This year is extra special as we celebrate 20 amazing years of youth leadership, global thinking, and positive change.
Our theme for this year, “Enhancing Youth Financial Literacy to Reduce Mistrust and Social Unrest,” is one that speaks directly to the times we live in. As young people, we face a world full of economic challenges and big decisions. This conference gives us the chance to understand how being smart with money—knowing how to save, invest, and plan—can help create a more peaceful, stable, and fair society.
Throughout the conference, you’ll engage in powerful debates, write resolutions, and work together with other delegates from across Nigeria and beyond. You’ll learn how money and peace are connected, how young people can be part of the solution, and how your voice truly matters in shaping the world we want to live in.
